About Sponsorships
Visit Boise is funded mostly by the Idaho Travel Council’s 2% tax on local hotel, motel, and vacation rental lodging. These funds are then placed back into the community through marketing and event sponsorships.
Visit Boise considers the following criteria when evaluating applications:
– Total economic impact generated by the event or tournament
– Total number of hotel room nights generated for Visit Boise partner hotels
– Overall media and brand exposure for the City of Boise
*The grant cycle takes place a year in advance of funds being used; it’s highly recommended to submit a request 9-12 months ahead of when the event takes place
