Breweries
TAKE A
BREWCATION.
Craft beer and independent breweries are having a bit of a renaissance here in Boise, so much so you could almost throw a rock and hit a brewery. We’d advise against any rock-throwing and alternately suggest throwing back a few pints while soaking in the thriving Boise hop culture scene.

Downtown Breweries
Downtown Boise is home to several breweries and taprooms, most within walking distance of each other. Though they each may take a slightly different approach to making beer, they all share one thing in common: their fiercely independent spirit. You won’t want to miss out on Boise Brewing, Lost Grove Brewery or Payette Brewing.
Garden City
Boise’s neighboring Garden City has become a flourishing incubator for startups with a passion for fermented adult beverages of the hoppy, malty, yeasty kind. Most of these breweries and taphouses might seem a bit off the beaten path, but if you’re looking for adventures in craft beer, it’s a good place to be. Make sure to check out Western Collective, Powderhaus and Barbarian Brewing.
Greater Boise
As if Boise wasn’t great enough, the craft beer universe overflowed and spilled into Greater Boise as well. Here, you’ll find yet even more establishments carrying the torch for Boise brewing culture. Among others, Edge Brewing, Mad Swede and Sockeye Brewing are definitely worth the trip.
