We Dare You
WE DARE YOU
TO RUN OUT OF
THINGS TO DO.
What can you do in a single day in Boise? We’re glad you asked. Whether you’re into spending time outdoors or prefer a downtown vibe, here you can do both from sunup to sundown.
Hit the slopes
Head up the road about 16 miles from downtown to Bogus Basin ski resort, the 7,582-foot tall mountain. Here, you can ski, snowboard, snowshoe, tube or Nordic ski into the evening on 66 trails and 2,600 skiable acres.
We dare you to fly down one of Bogus Basin’s most challenging runs, Liberty, which goes right off the face of Shafer Butte. It’s a double black diamond and definitely not for beginners.
Catch Boise’s greatest show on ice
From the power plays and penalty box to the lightning-fast goals and die-hard fans, grab the crew to watch an Idaho Steelheads game at the Idaho Central Arena.
We dare you to join the chuck-a-puck tradition at a Steelheads game. Try to get your puck closest to the center to win.
Find a password-protected cocktail
When it comes to the downtown bar scene, there is much more than meets the eye. What might look like a side alley door could lead to a secret nightlife experience. Explore Boise’s hidden speakeasies… if you can find them.
We dare you to grab a drink at Ampersand, known as the highest bar in Idaho. To find this speakeasy, go to KIN’s ART HAUS cocktail bar and request an “elevated” drink.
Let gravity show you a good time
If your family likes winter sledding and tubing, you’ve come to the right city. Bogus Basin tubing hill features a conveyor lift to take you back to the top so you can ride again.
We dare you to try the 800-foot tube run at Bogus Basin… backward.
