Eat Your Way Along the Boise Greenbelt

The famous Boise River Greenbelt is a 25-mile paved tree-lined pathway that follows the north and south sides of the Boise River through the city. In addition to walking, biking, jogging or e-scootering, did you know that the Greenbelt also features a number of eateries along the way? From Southeast Boise to Eagle, here are just a few of the delicious food destinations to add to your list as you make a day of Greenbelt exploration. 

May Means Sports in Boise

Boise’s mild weather, abundant community recreation facilities and beautiful landscape make it a great place to enjoy the outdoors – including sports of all kinds. May is full of sporting events throughout town, so take your pick of activities to watch or participate in. If you’re in the market for sporting gear, head to Scheel’s, which recently opened in Boise and sports its own indoor Ferris wheel. 

  • Directors Cup Soccer Tournament (May 17-19) – Sponsored by the Idaho Youth Soccer Association and held annually at the Simplot Sports Complex. 
  • Mountain West Conference Softball Championship (May 9-11) – Catch the best collegiate softball teams in the region in action at Dona Larsen Park. 
  • Famous Idaho Potato Marathon (May 18) – This Boston Qualifying Marathon offers picturesque full and half marathon routes along the Boise River Greenbelt, along with family friendly 5k and 10k races.
  • Boise Hawks season opener (May 21) – The 2024 Pioneer Baseball League campaign begins at Memorial Stadium against the Grand Junction Jackalopes.
