Spring into Community Solar! A Climate Justice League Earth Day Celebration

Date

Apr 22 2025

Time

5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
This Earth Day, join the Climate Justice League—Idaho Sierra Club's youth activist team—for a community craft and resource fair centered around advancing equitable clean energy and protecting our planet. This team of passionate youth has been working hard since last fall with muralist Lawson Capri Schultz to create a powerful, joyful, and visionary mural design that illustrates the promise of equitable community solar programs for Boise. They will be collaboratively painting the mural in May, led by Lawson and local supporting artist Jay Smith. At this event, they will reveal their mural design to get folks in the community excited about the installation (and recruit more local youth to be a part of it!). What to expect 5:30 - 6:30 | Earth Day resource & craft fair, featuring local youth-led advocacy organizations and groups, AND arts and crafts for all ages (including face painting, paint-by-numbers, collaging/zine creation, and more!) 6:30 - 7:00 | Student speeches, poetry & music performances. 7:00 - 8:00 | More time for folks to hangout, get resources, ask questions, do arts & crafts, and be in community together. We hope you can make it!
