This hike (leisurely stroll) is only for Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists. Family members and friends are invited to register as volunteers or join us at stops along the way. We ask for the support of our community through donations and sponsorships. Participants hike approximately 8.5 miles around Boise while wearing Silkies (ranger panties, marine PT shorts, etc.), combat boots, and a ruck (not required). Irreverent Warriors is PREVENTING veteran suicide using unconventional therapy. Veterans are different and therefore use different methods of coping. In the face of tragedy, a veteran is more likely to use humor as a coping mechanism than anything else. Come join us in the camaraderie and shenanigans!
