“Stayed one night on a road trip down to Texas and was pleasantly impressed. Got a room for $64 (including tax) and felt that was adequate for the conditions (a bit dated and dirty hotel all around). Rooms looked pretty clean, and beds were a bit worn but comfortable for an overnight stay. Friendly hotel staff. Would definitely come back but not pay more than $70 a night. Also want to check out the breakfast next time; it came highly recommended.“

“Beautiful room and the most amazing staff. My service dog and I were exhausted and had to stay in Boise unexpectedly. They made it easy on us and were very efficient and courteous. They managed to turn an unhappy turn of events into a really nice night. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Affordable, clean, and the most amazing staff from housekeeping to front desk. Plus their breakfast for only an additional $7 is amazing. Eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon, and more! Well worth the money.“

“My wife and I recently traveled to Boise to attend a concert. When we checked in, the staff were nice and helpful, but their software system seems old, and slow so check-in took a bit longer than expected. When we first entered the room things seemed okay. We noticed some of the furniture looked like it has been hotel furniture for a bit too long. The sink outside of the bathroom had some brown stains, we were able to clean the stains out ourselves which hinted at a lack of detail by cleaning staff. We set the A/C in our room and went out on the town. Upon return, my wife wanted to purchase some juice from the drink cooler. This transaction took about 5 minutes to complete due to the slow Point-of-Sales software the hotel was using. When we got back to our room, we noticed a decent-sized wet spot on the ground below the A/C. If this was an accident or if hotel staff entered our room, we were not notified. I used one of the white hand towels to clean up the wet spot, when I picked up the hand towel, it was quite brown from all of the dirt that was still on the ground. When we climbed into bed, we noted that the beds were clean and comfortable. In the morning, we woke up got ready, and headed down for breakfast. We booked our room directly from Red Lion's website, and assumed that breakfast was apart of the experience. Our assumption turned out to be incorrect. When we checked in with the host, she informed us that it was not included and would be $7 per person. I've heard good things about Red Lion's breakfast and figured what the heck. Prior to paying, the breakfast is not visible to the customer so unless the lounge was packed, you are unsure of what exactly you are paying for. Once we entered the breakfast room, we noticed that the $7 breakfast is nothing more than you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express which would've been complimentary had we stayed here instead. The expected experience did not match what we paid to stay here and I would not recommend it to anyone that I know. This hotel is in dire need of renovation and cleaning needs to be improved.“
