“An amazing experience! Oh, and our menus had our family name printed on them, nice touch! The food was exquisitely prepared and was absolutely delicious. Plenty of steak options and sauce options. Side dishes were amazing and the table-side baked potato bar is a must. Be sure to be familiar with menu prices before coming. Parking is OK in the hotel parking garage BTW.“

“We had been meaning to try Hemlock, the newest steakhouse in downtown Boise that took over the former Richard’s space in Hotel 500. It is the latest concept from the team behind one of our favorite taco spots, Spitfire in Eagle. Parking downtown can be a bit tricky, but Hemlock does have valet service available out front. We stopped in for happy hour and grabbed a high-top in the bar. The atmosphere is stylish, with high-end finishes that feel elevated without being pretentious. The chairs, tables, and overall décor all make a great impression. For food, we started with the deviled eggs topped with pork belly, which were perfectly done and a standout bite. Next we split the burger and fries. The burger is a classic flat-top style, made from the prime steak trimmings, and you can really tell. Their house-made burger sauce was an instant hit with both of us. Even though that was plenty of food, I could not resist trying the “1000 layer potato.” Imagine the buttery flakiness of a croissant, but made from thinly layered potatoes. Absolutely divine. Happy hour prices were excellent and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Hemlock is an impressive addition to Boise dining and one we will be returning to many times over. Highly recommended.“

“If you’re looking for a fantastic and memorable dining experience this is the place. My husband and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary here and we’re so happy we chose this restaurant. The hostess greeted us warmly by opening the door for us. We were sat right away, we had a reservation. We were delightfully surprised with the custom message on your menu. The table was very comfortable and the atmosphere was beautiful. We were greeted first by our server’s assistant and she was very friendly. June was our server and she was simply amazing! The food was delicious, the cocktails were exceptional, and the dessert was the perfect finish. I had the Zabuton steak and my husband had the New York steak, they were both cooked to perfection. There was a little mix up at the end of our meal, another server accidentally gave our leftover’s bag to the wrong table. It honestly wasn’t a big deal to us, we still would have left the restaurant very happy with our experience but our server and the manager went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. They remade the food that we had leftover and even reprinted our custom message menus for us to take home. It’s easy to tell that Hemlock prides themselves of delivering an exceptional customer experience and because of that we will be long time customers. Thank you, The Bliss’s“

“This place is an experience. Service was great. They went above and beyond making sure our needs were met and that we were taken care of. The steaks were phenomenal. Melt in your mouth. The butters and sauces we ordered added another layer of flavor. Baked potato was on another level. Can't edit to go again.“

“Wow! This place was a phenomenal experience all around! Not just for Boise, a great addition to any city. We started with the oysters, which were super fresh and a wedge salad that was delightful. Next up, the STEAK FLIGHT, with choice of 2 butters and 2 sauces. Although the sauces/butters were great, the 3 choices of steak in the flight need nothing, as the flavor was amazing as it was served! We added 2 sides as well, which included the Brussel sprouts and the CORN CRÈME BRÛLÉE!!! Both were great, but the corn crème brûlée was to die for! Top it off with amazing drinks (forgot to take pictures, you will have to see for yourself) menu created and made by Tyler and Izzy, along with the rest of the restaurant friendly and super attentive staff, the ambiance/decor, 2 piece band and just overall vibe, I give this place a 5 star, without a doubt. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
