“First time eating here, and will probably be the last. Whatever happened to staff wearing uniforms? No professionalism. But uniforms cost money, which the owner won't pay for. Our waiter looked like a construction worker. Add to the mix a short-handed crew and you end up with long waits and cold food. Heat lamps cost money, so the food sits on a pass-through waiting for an overtaxed waiter. By the time I got my food it was already lukewarm. Oh, and the prawns were nothing more than jumbo shrimp with beer batter to make them look bigger. I stripped off the breading and exposed the rather anemic-looking "prawns." Gordon Ramsey would tear these guys a new one.“

“First time trying Barrelhouse Pub this evening. Background- We raise Black Angus Beef cows and process several head a year. We Ordered an App of Finger Steaks and Main course of French Dip w/ hand cut fries and Brisket Platter with Cali Blend Veggies, and Onion Rings. App- Batter for the Finger Steaks was bland. Not much flavor. Meat was tender and not stringy. Cocktail sauce tasted like plain ketchup. French Dip w/ Fries- Meat was bland. Added Salt- Tasted better. Fries were very greasy, but still had a good cook on them. Brisket Platter- It came out in thick Chunks (like Stew Meat) and did not taste like Brisket. It did have a good juicy flavor, but I suspect it was more of a Chuck roast than Brisket. Cali Blend Veggies were seasoned well! Great band playing and we enjoyed their music. Not very busy for a Saturday night. Server/bartender was attentive. No issues with service.“

“Excellent service (by Mathew) and very tasty food. Would like more dark beer options, but appreciated being given a couple tasters, ended up ordering a cocktail. Everyone in staff was great in communicating that it would be a little bit of a wait for the food. I think 4 different employees interacted with us and checked to make sure we were taken care of. We'll be back!“

“Josh was our waiter and he was fantastic. He recommended food to us because it was our first time there. We had the steak sandwich with onion rings and a salad. Exception service and great food.“

“Took 10 to 15 minutes sitting at the bar with multiple people around and hardly anyone in the restaurant to finally have someone come over. Asked if the golden tee could be turned on and treated as if I asked her to replace the roof. Where is decent service and kindness these days?“
