Jaialdi International Basque Festival Returns to Boise 🇪🇸 🪗 🥘

Experience the vibrant spirit of Boise’s Basque community July 29 – August 3 at Jaialdi 2025! One of the world’s largest celebrations of Basque culture will be held for the first time in ten years, transforming Boise into a lively hub of Basque music, dance, food, games, and tradition. From thrilling sports exhibitions to colorful performances and authentic cuisine, there’s something for everyone. Explore the city’s Basque Block, connect with friendly locals, and discover Boise’s unique blend of heritage and hospitality. Jaialdi 2025 is your chance to be part of an unforgettable cultural celebration.

Many Jaialdi events are free but tickets for larger events, such as Sports Night, Festara, Dantzaldi, and Basque-ing at Expo Idaho, are managed directly through the host venues. Find ticket information and the full Jaialdi event schedule HERE.

Twilight Criterium + IRONMAN 70.3 🏊‍♂️ 🚴‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️

On July 19, the Twilight Criterium brings men’s and women’s professional cycling road racing to the streets of downtown Boise. Fan events include a one-mile fun run (pre-registration required), the Kids’ Ride at 11 a.m., and the ICCU EXPO park opening at 1 p.m. with a beverage garden, vendors, food trucks, activities, and the best view of the races.

On July 26, the IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon returns to Idaho’s capital for the first time in a decade.The race kicks off at Lucky Peak Reservoir with a 1.2-mile swim and continues on a 56-mile cycling journey through rural Boise roads and neighborhood streets before ending with a 13.1 mile run on the popular Boise River Greenbelt trail. Spectators are invited to come to Julia Davis Park to cheer on athletes as they finish the race!
