“Very nice trails. Clearly marked. Postcard worthy views! It's a great place to view wildlife. I was lucky enough to see elk on my visit. I saw several people with their dogs off of a leash. I highly recommend keeping your dog leashed. I saw three coyotes on the trail.“

“A bit of a strenuous climb, bit so worth it! The view of the Boise area and rolling mountains is absolutely stunning! Go up at an hour before sunset if you can, takes about an hour to climb up.“

“Super fun hike conveniently located in Boise! Looking amazing. These are the entire Treasure Valley and it’s super beautiful during sunset. Plenty of parking at the Old Penitentiary with easy access to the trails. This is definitely a must do in Boise and it’s also easily done if you have children!“

“This is a beautiful hike but can be a bit challenging towards the end. We are new to hiking & had to take a few breaks on the last 1/2 mile up to the cross because it gets fairly steep. But there were also people running the trail, so it just depends on your level of experience & fitness really. The view at the top was totally worth it though. It will leave you tired but fulfilled when you're done. It's about 1.5 miles each way from Old Penitentiary Rd. We will definitely do it again!“

“Great hike in Boise. I will say the parking and Trail is usually busy. Also after it has rained people should try to stay off the trails to keep them in good shape. This is a great hike for the family with dogos. Love hiking there. Beautiful sights.“
