Like a wide river of sound fed from the snowmelt of every imaginable subgenre of rock & roll, Alec Bang & The Cult Classics make bluesy, improvisational music that defies neat classification. The group first began to form in 2021 when Alec Bang (guitar and vocals) met Dirk Jeffrey (lead guitar) while they were playing on stage at Element 11. The group has grown to include a rotating cast including: Alexis Pfuzz (violin), Dayton Livingston (bass), Dan Muir (percussion), and Matt Gooch (drums) and others.
