The Idaho State Museum is excited to celebrate Native American Heritage Month on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 10:30AM-11:30AM with a special presentation by Randy’L Teton, model for the Sacajawea coin released by the United States Mint in 2000 and author of "It’s Her Story: Sacajawea." An enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Fort Hall, Randy’L is the “Youngest & Only Living Model on U.S Currency.” Explore the “The Unwritten Story of Sacajawea” as Randy'L shares her years of research on the young Shoshone woman who set out with the U.S. Corps of Discovery Expedition in 1804, acting as an interpreter and guide, and the motivation behind her recent children’s book. Books will be available for purchase from the M Store, and Randy’L will be signing books following her presentation. The presentation is included with Museum admission. Free for ISHS Members!
