The Idaho Genealogical Society presents Robert M. Wilbanks IV, B.A. [History], who will provide a general overview of the various death records, cemeteries, and cemetery records, including mortician and funeral home records.
Mr. Wilbanks has been a professional genealogist and speaker since 1989. He has been interested in history since he was very young and became interested in genealogy at age 12. He is a member of many local and professional organizations, holding offices as editor, president, commander, and historian. He is the Immediate Past-President of the Arizona Council of Professional Genealogists, former Chief Genealogist & Historian for the Caledonian Society of Arizona, and former writer of a genealogy column for Desert Shamrock – Arizona Irish bi-monthly newspaper. Mr. Wilbanks attended Samford University’s Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research from 1990 to 1993. He has led research groups to FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City. His publications include family history, U.S. Military Records, two books on Virginia genealogy, and two family newsletters. In 2009, he founded Ancestral Pride: Professional Genealogy Services.
