The Boise Bard Players (BBP) are thrilled to announce their upcoming performance of Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth, at Surel's Place. This minimalist production promises to captivate audiences with the timeless struggle of free will versus fate, set against the botanical backyard of the iconic artist residence. _____ Performance Details: Dates: May 9-12 and 16-19 Time: Thurs-Sat: 7:00 pm — Sun: 2:00 pm Location: Surel's Place, 212 E 33rd St, Garden City, ID 83714 Tickets: Available at www.boisebardplayers.org/macbeth Prices: $20 General Admission, $35 Generous Admission, $300 Box of Four (One per showtime) Directed by Justin Tharpe, this rendition of Macbeth explores the gray area between perception and reality. Chris Canfield, artistic director of BBP and actor portraying Macbeth, says, “Our version of Macbeth asks the questions, ‘Are hallucinations really hallucinations? Are our choices really our choices? Or are we puppets in a bigger game?’ Because no matter what Macbeth does, he’s playing into someone’s hands.” _____ Special Features of the Production: We will be in the intimate backyard of Surel’s Place, a non-profit artist residence known for its support of local art and immersive art experiences. Evening performances will take place at golden hour, providing for a magical theatre experience you won’t get anywhere else. Mad Swede Brewing will be onsite with locally brewed beers to satisfy your palate. _____ About The Boise Bard Players: Opening with Macbeth in 2014 and becoming a nonprofit in 2018, The Boise Bard Players are committed to making Shakespeare and other classics affordable and accessible to the Treasure Valley.
