In Idaho, unmet demand for afterschool programs remains high, with more than 116,000 children who would be enrolled in a program if one were available to them.

Help give these kids a place to go.

On November 1st at 5pm, our afterschool programs at Hillsdale and Siena Y Kids will be participating in the annual Lights On Afterschool, a nationwide celebration of afterschool programs. We will be one of more than 8,000 sites across the nation sending the message that afterschool is key to children’s success, and that we must keep the lights on and doors open after school.

Entry to the event is completely free, and will feature local vendors, STEM activities, and plenty of active PLAY. Head to the activity table to make a glowing sensory bottle, or to the Thrive room to play with your shadow! Plus, we will have full access to the South Tomlinson Y indoor playground, the FAZ! Make sure you stop by our Photo Booth to snap a pic with the whole family! Again, all participation in this event is completely FREE. More info to come on activities.
