Come and listen to award-winning writer Michelle Nijhuis speak on “Conservation Beyond Boundaries: Ecological Thinking in a Time of Crisis.” Nijhuis will talk about the history and future of the conservation movement in the American West and beyond, and how physical, conceptual and metaphorical boundaries impact conservation. Nijhuis is the author of Beloved Beasts: Fighting for Life in an Age of Extinction, which was named one of the best books of the year by the Chicago Tribune, Smithsonian, Booklist, and others. She also has contributed to High Country News, New York Review of Books, National Geographic, New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic.
