The local Gem State Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) is hosting a program for local girls ages 8 to 18 years to introduce them to careers in aviation. The day’s activities will take place at Jackson Jet Center in Boise from 9am-1pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024. More than 75 girls are expected to attend. The Gem State Chapter will join Women in Aviation International chapters around the world for this outreach event to inspire the next generation of women in aviation. Attendees will be able to participate in hands-on activities, meet women working throughout the aviation and aerospace industries, get up close and personal with aircraft and flight simulators, and more.
