Every year, high school art teachers curate and choose the best work from their students—in painting, drawing, illustration, photography, sculpture and ceramics for the Annual Art Source Gallery Emerging Artists Juried Show. The show is often the young artist’s first public showing and is a milestone in their artistic path. In addition to their art displaying at Art Source Gallery for the month of March, the students compete for approximately $1000 in prize money and a People’s Choice Award for Creativity. Opening reception for Emerging Artists of Treasure Valley at Art Source Gallery on First Thursday, March 7 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM. The awards and prize winners will be announced at the reception about 6:30 PM. At the reception, enjoy live music, snacks, and wine. Again this year, Art Source Gallery will honor one Emerging Artist with the People’s Choice Award for Creativity. This award is in honor of Zella Bardsley, one of the first members of the gallery. During the reception the public will vote for their favorite piece to receive the award.
