Family Second Saturday: Randy’L Teton
The Idaho State Museum is excited to celebrate Native American Heritage Month on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 12-3PM with Randy’L Teton, model for the Sacajawea coin released by the United States Mint in 2000 and author of “It’s Her Story: Sacajawea.” An enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Fort Hall, Randy’L is the “Youngest & Only Living Model on U.S Currency.”
Discover the story of Sacajawea from a tribal perspective and with hands-on connection to the past by making a friendship necklace. Craft supplies are generously provided by the Idaho Center for the Book. Readings of “It’s Her Story: Sacajawea” at 12:30PM, 1:30PM, and 2:30PM.
All ages welcome! Family Second Saturday activities are included with Museum admission. Free for ISHS members!
