Family Second Saturday: Navigating Idaho

Date

Sep 13 2025

Time

12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Rocks, rivers, and landmarks have helped people navigate through Idaho for thousands of years. Join us at the museum to map your way through the Gem State on Saturday, September 13th. Learn how maps help people make sense of the land, make a compass out of materials you’d find at home, and create your own map of Pioneer Village! All ages are welcome, and the event is free with Museum admission! Drop in anytime between 12-3PM. This is an ongoing event every second Saturday of the month. Purchase admission in advance. Walk-ups will be accommodated. Enjoy your visit? Consider becoming a Member at the Idaho State Historical Society and enjoy access to the Idaho State Museum and other amenities.
