Get ready for Idaho’s very own Volcanic, fun run!

Crater Crawl – Run Around the Rings.

It’s time to start training! Crater Crawl is coming up soon, September 21 @ 10:00 am. Registration is limited to 200 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot right away.

Participants will run or hike a challenging 10K course that takes them to the top of a shield volcano and then around its massive twin craters. This site is very unique and recognized as a National Natural Landmark. Not to be confused with Craters of the Moon National Monument, the Crater Rings are a mere 45 minute drive from Boise, near Mountain Home.

Despite the challenges, Crater Crawl is meant for anyone who might enjoy a supported outing in a very unique volcanic setting, whether they are a competitive trail runner, casual hiker, or anything in between.

Those interested in checking out the craters, but don’t want to commit to a challenging 10k course, can opt for the easier 2.9 mile out-and-back course that leads to a spectacular view of the east crater.
