Ah, yes—St. Patrick's Day. One of the finest annual excuses to round up your herd of friends and assemble around the drinking spouts of Idaho's finest brew houses and pubs. It does not matter whether the blood in your bones is as Irish as car bombs and peat moss, the Americanized holiday accepts all...long as you can knock 'em back.
I will be putting together my fondest set of Irish, Scottish and Australian Traditionals and barroom chanties and hope y'all will join me in the choruses. As Hamish Imlach said, "If you don't know the words, take off your shoes and hum!"
Many thanks to Barbarian Brewing for picking this ugly half-blood (I'm only half Irish. The rest, the pound wasn't too sure on.) to represent this lovely holiday.
Crisp Food Truck will be on site, serving up corned beef and hash (12-6pm), and the good folks yanking on the handles will be pouring green beer from 12-8pm.
