Alex Sjobeck, piano, and Abraham Masso, double bass, present their innovative duo project “JAZZ X CLASSICAL”, a collection of original modern jazz duo pieces based on famous classical works. Abraham Masso’s virtuosity, established from his extensive classical performance background, is showcased through the pieces arranged by Sjobeck. Themes from some of the world’s most recognizable classical works set the landscape for each piece which then escalates in a picturesque journey through Sjobeck’s meaningful improvisations.
Boise Cello Collective is a collaborative project among some of Idaho's preeminent cellists, including Boise Philharmonic members, specializing in the performance of unique works for cello ensemble ranging from staples of the Classical era to reimagined popular and jazz songs to innovative contemporary works.
