“Guitarist Chris Hersch inhabits a unique musical space somewhere between jazz and country – his guitar style developed in the 24 years he has been in the Boston Music Scene, playing in an eclectic number of bands that have won him two Boston Music Awards and multiple National and International tours.
Chris studied at the New England Conservatory where he worked with Ben Monder, John Ambercrombie, Jerry Bergonzi, Steve Lacey, and John McNeil. Most recently he has been included in Jazz Guitar Today’s overview of the Boston Jazz guitar scene.
Since his time at NEC, Chris has been involved with multiple projects in the Boston area, and has opened for notable acts including Albert Lee, Los Lobos, Dale Watson, J.D. McPherson, Bill Kirchen, The Derailers, Driving and Crying, among others.”
