Exploring Watercolor – Learn intermediate techniques in this 2-week class!
September 12 @ 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm MDT
2-week course – Mondays – September 12 & 19 – 1:00 – 3:30pm
This intermediate watercolor class is perfect for anyone with some previous watercolor experience and a desire to advance their skills. You’ll learn about wet-on-wet painting, controlled painting, and layering, plus how to apply salt and rubbing alcohol to achieve different effects.
You’ll walk away with a handful of new techniques to apply to your future paintings, with step-by-step guidance along the way, while being encouraged to create your own design. Professional artist and former Quality Art instructor, Polly Barrett, will be your guide. Polly teaches in a stress-free and fun way and incorporates a wide variety of styles and subject matter.
Ages 18 and up are welcome. Please bring your own watercolor painting supplies and paint with you. We will have some supplies on hand if you need something, as well.
Optional items to bring:
– Layered clothing, as the temperatures may be difficult to manage in the building
– Bottled water/beverage
This course is limited to 16 participants and may be rescheduled if a minimum of 5 participants is not reached. We will contact you via email in this case.
