SUMMARY:Resonance: An Evening of Music & Art with Kit Julianto
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday, August 16th at 5-6:30PM for a powerful performance by Kit Julianto, Yooti, an enrolled member of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Reservation.\nThrough the sounds of Native American flute, drums, and vocals, Kit will share traditional songs and personal reflections that highlight the deep significance of music as a bridge to Native language and heritage.\nAccompanied by projected visuals of his original artwork, this experience will guide the audience on a journey where sound and image come together to tell a story rooted in tradition, art, and experience.\nKit holds a BFA in Studio Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe and an MFA in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. He currently teaches art at Owyhee Combined School in the Elko County School District. His visual and musical work celebrates Native American culture, traditions, and storytelling.\nThis is more than a performance—it’s an invitation to experience the interwoven threads of art, music, and heritage through the eyes and voice of a contemporary Native artist.\nThe evening will conclude with an audience Q&A. Doors open at 4:30PM.\nPre-registration is required. See below for ticket pricing options:\nTicket Levels:\n$10 – General Level\nMade possible by the support of higher-tier ticket sales, General Level tickets help ensure that enriching experiences—like this performance—are accessible to everyone. We believe that opportunities to deepen our understanding of Idaho’s history should be open to all.\n$20 – Support Level\nThis ticket reflects the true cost of hosting the event. If every seat were sold at this level, we would break even. Choosing the Support Level creates community opportunities and supports the Museum’s educational programs and broader mission.\n$40 – Experience Level\nExperience Level tickets include reserved, premium seating in the front rows and offer a way to give back. Your contribution helps fund General Level tickets and supports the Museum’s ongoing educational work, keeping our programs accessible and impactful.\n
