DESCRIPTION:The Emerging Artists Juried Show is a celebration of the incredible artistic talent from Treasure Valley’s high school students. Curated by local high school art teachers, this annual event showcases the best in painting, drawing, illustration, photography, sculpture, ceramics and more —all created by the next generation of artists in our community.\nThis event marks a significant milestone for many of the students, as it’s often their first chance to exhibit their work in a public space, gaining invaluable exposure and recognition. The Emerging Artists Juried Show is not just about the art—it’s about championing the creative spirit and ambition of these young minds, encouraging them to pursue their artistic dreams and develop their voices.\nIn addition to having their work on display throughout March at Art Source Gallery, these talented students will compete for $1000 in prize money and the People’s Choice Award for Creativity, honoring the memory of Zella Bardsley, one of the gallery’s first members and a longtime supporter of young artists.\nJoin us for the Opening Reception on First Thursday, March 6th, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM to meet these budding artists, celebrate their hard work, and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award. The awards and prize winners will be announced around 6:30 PM.\nEnjoy live music, snacks, and wine as we gather to support our local youth and the arts. It’s a chance to connect with the next generation of artists, hear their stories, and be part of a vibrant creative community.\nCome out and show your support for these young artists—let’s help them thrive!\n
